A rewarding opportunity is available for an occupational therapist to provide specialized services within a K-12 school setting in Carson City, NV. This contract position focuses on supporting students with individualized education plans (IEPs) requiring occupational therapy, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact on their academic and personal development throughout the school year.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering occupational therapy services as outlined in students IEPs
• Providing compensatory services totaling approximately 450 minutes initially for one student, with ongoing monthly services of 90 minutes
• Serving a newly enrolled student requiring 60 minutes of therapy per month
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to develop and implement effective therapy plans
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy approaches as needed

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Valid occupational therapy licensure appropriate for school-based practice
• Experience providing occupational therapy services to children in a school environment
• Ability to manage time effectively, including delivering compensatory and regular therapy minutes
• Strong communication skills for coordination with educators, families, and other team members
• Commitment to supporting student growth and maximizing functional outcomes
